Kids' Program

Atlantica's children's program is divided into three age groups: Mini Club ( 3 to 6 years), Maxi Club (7 to 12 years), and Teen zone (13 to 18 years). Signing up for the program is free of charge, and most activities take place in Pinocchios' Room,

Deck Five forward. Children will find games, crafts, dancing and various age-appropriate themed parties available throughout the day and evening. We overheard one complaint about the children's program: "My child won't leave!"

A well equipped arcade is situated on Deck Four forward and is conveniently visible through the windows of the childrens' Pinocchio Room above. Parents with children between three and 12 are able to take advantage of free child-minding service while they take a shore excursion by signing up at least 24 hours before the excursion departs. Group babysitting is also generally available on all cruises for a fee and must be requested ahead of time.

Note: Although this is a family ship and caters to children, the children do not run the ship. We have sailed on some lines where every time we rode an elevator we stopped at each and every deck because children were riding up and down punching buttons. On Atlantica, children must be at least 12 to ride an elevator without an adult. Use of the gym and spa is available to guests over the age of 16. And the pool at the back of the ship near the Aurora Bar is for adults only. These guidelines are enforced.

The Spa

Those wanting to work off those extra pounds will enjoy the Ischia Spa and Olympia Gym, Decks Nine and 10 forward. Set on two levels, it affords guests a panoramic view of the ocean while exercising on the latest Technogym equipment or floating in the Jacuzzi®. Relax "Italian style" in the full-service spa and remember to take advantage of the wonderful discounts offered during days in port to sample any treatments you might have missed at sea.

Buon Viaggio

Choosing Atlantica will give you a fun vacation at a competitive price, with a promise that this will not be the "same old, same old" cruise. Feel free to leave your diamonds at home (or lock them in your room safe), let your hair down, and allow your mind to run free to enjoy this unique experience . To fully appreciate the friendly atmosphere of "Cruising Italian Style", be sure to take part in the unique activities offered on board.

The genuine smiles of the crew and their desire to please adds immeasurably to the spirit so evident on Atlantica. After spending some time with Captain Giuseppe Russo and Executive Chef Salvatore Palumbo it became obvious to us that this wonderful feeling was born at the top of the organization and handed down through the ranks. Everyone on the ship seemed to be having a good time, even the crew. Yes, it was OK for our waiter to put down the dinner tray for a few moments to dance with me. It was what was most important at the moment. It was about music, having fun, sharing.

Welcome to Costa's Cruising Italian Style.
